Cabinet Makers Shop
The AiC is working with Tellco Preswood, a furniture manufacturer in
Cameroon. They are owned by the Presbyterian Church of Cameroon, and
they provide training for cabinet makers in addition furniture
making. We are helping them to streamline their production, improve
their quality and identify new partners both locally and globally.
Africa is well renowned for its raw material
exports. At AiC we want to encourage and foster the development of
the manufacturing sector. We believe that we can get a competitive
advantage in the Global Market by exporting finished products.

Project Description |
Description of the project |
Project Description: AiC is currently working on
developing a Cabinet Makers Shop in Douala, Cameroon. This shop will
manufacture custom furniture designed in the US. It will be managed
and operated by local Cameroonian cabinet makers. The AiC will work
with US furniture retailers in establishing a market for finished
products. We will also work on establishing outsourcing partnerships
for US furniture retailers.
Why Cameroon?
Cameroon has over 20 different species of wood and it is well known
for its cabinet makers and carpenters. The city of Douala is
Cameroon’s commercial capital, its location on the coast will
facilitate exportation to the regional, local, and international
markets.
